Mrs Ellard was resident at this house in 1837 and in the early 1850s it was occupied by Benjamin Barter who held it from Sophia Ellard. It was valued at £20. The house shown as Lirias on the 1st edition Ordnance Survey map is not visible on the later 25-inch map of the 1890s though a nearby group of buildings has the same name. Some of these now form part of a farmyard complex.
